I am 24, have had pimples and acne since I was 12….I recommend rose hip oil (organic and pure) for the scarring, it works wonders, it won’t clear it up 100% but it will keep skn looking younger..stay away from brands that are full of chemicals…i make up my own tea tree mix…tea tree oil diluted..and I wash with tea tree soap before hand….i go to an acupuncturist…acne can have a lot to do with diet..i find cheese, beef , shell fish and anything acidic gives me pimples..but every body is different. Try the rose hip..you can substitute it for a moisturiser. for those feeling slef conscious….people arent always looking at your skin like you think, 90% of it is in your head….this coming from an extremely self conscious girl
Efforts to better understand the mechanisms of sebum production are underway. The aim of this research is to develop medications that target and interfere with the hormones that are known to increase sebum production (e.g., IGF-1 and alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone). Additional sebum-lowering medications being researched include topical antiandrogens and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor modulators. Another avenue of early-stage research has focused on how to best use laser and light therapy to selectively destroy sebum-producing glands in the skin’s hair follicles in order to reduce sebum production and improve acne appearance.
Herbal remedies tend to have fewer side effects than modern treatments. Some herbs have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties. These properties may help reduce acne-causing bacteria and inflammation, and heal blemishes.
Use rubbing alcohol on breakouts for oily skin. I have very oily skin and when I break out (usually around that time of the month) I use rubbing alcohol on folded toilet paper to cleanse my face morning and night and the pimples are reduced or gone in a couple of days.
Sort of along same lines as lemon juice, apple cider vinegar has the same antibacterial properties, as well as antifungal properties as well. Apple cider vinegar is very powerful though, so you might want to dilute it when you use it, at least at first. Just apply a small amount to your skin, but make sure that you choose pure, undiluted vinegar for best results.
Be sure to make sure the ur popping a pimple. Some sists will apear on ur face but they will disapear if you just let them heal. IF you pop them there will be a really big hole on ur face with a scab.
Regular cardiovascular exercise can have amazing benefits for the skin, but unfortunately, working out can sometimes result in breakouts. Why? Oftentimes, back acne is a result of friction and sweat. Tight clothing worn during exercise mixed with perspiration can wreak havoc on your skin. Fortunately, you can decrease the chance of back acne by following a few simple practices.

I suffered from TERRIBLE acne for almost 10 years. I finally on my 26th birthday, gave up and saw a dermatologist. He gave me a prescription for antibiotics and said that would help. I was pretty sure there was no chance that I was suffering from a 10 year bacterial infection, so I ditched the pills. Instead I found a website (which I wish I could remember) that suggested zinc deficiencies may be to blame. Immediately I began taking a supplement once a day, with food so I didn’t yack, and saw results in about a week! Now, a year later, I take zinc, vitamins A, E, C, D, and a “super B complex” as well as flax and fish oil (all super cheap at Wal-Mart) and I have almost no breakouts!! I use an over the counter scrub one a day, and once a day I exfoliate VERY, VERY GENTLY with baking soda. I cannot stress the gentle part there!!! Very lightly, over the face once, 30 seconds tops, done! I make sure to get about 15 mins of morning sun, before noon that is, every day. My scars are almost completely healed and I have less than 3 breakouts a month, down from 15-20, and even those are minimal and easily heal!

Zinc is known to possess anti-inflammatory properties, which are considered to be helpful in the treatment of acne. These supplements combat the inflammation that is present in the affected areas of the skin. As a result of this, the problem of acne is brought under control. Within a short span of time, the scars left behind from the acne also start diminishing. Zinc supplements must be taken on a daily basis in order for them to be effective in the treatment of this condition. It is highly recommended that you speak to your physician regarding the dosage of zinc that suits your body. These supplements generally do not cause any major side effects in the body, but can trigger mild side effects such as stomach upset or nausea, when consumed in large doses. If you do not want to consume a zinc supplement, you could easily meet your daily needs of zinc by consuming foods such as pork, chicken, peanuts and legumes.
Really? I can’t print this info? I want to be able to refer to it without having to pull up the web site all the time. I don’t want to violate copyrights by any means but just print it for my own use WITHOUT the ads for CHEMICAL products – or any ads. 🙁
Due to the severity of cystic acne, over-the-counter (OTC) treatments for acne aren’t strong enough. This means you’ll need to see a dermatologist for prescription medications. Depending on the type of treatment used, you may not see full results for up to eight weeks.
