Wash your face with water and pat dry. Dilute tea tree oil by mixing 1 part oil to 9 parts water. Dip a Q-tip or cotton swab in mixture, and apply to problem areas. If you decide you want a stronger dilution after a while, you can slowly (slowly!) begin to increase the strength, making sure to use each new mixture for at least a week for making it any stronger. Again, it should never be applied undiluted. You can apply a light moisturizer afterwards if you wish.
The relationship between certain foods and the production of acne has not been scientifically established yet. However, a diet plan for acne would include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and a sufficient intake of clean water. Almost all fruits and vegetables contain a good deal of vital minerals and vitamins. These help in keeping the skin clear as they provide the body with the necessary nutrients. In particular, vitamin A and B-complex vitamins are known to be beneficial for the skin.
vialik/ShutterstockYou may not be familiar with term cystic acne, but almost everyone over the age of 13 is familiar with what it is. Large, painful bumps you sometimes get on your face that feel like they’re rooted deep in the core of your skin. “These bumps can linger under the surface for weeks or even months and can eventually harden,” explains Engelman, board certified dermatologist at Medical Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery Centers. “They may also leave deep scars.” This type of acne is common in teens, and can run in your family. With adult acne, in particular, it tends to be hormonally driven.
Right, this is a simple tip, my grandma told me about; add 15ml of olive oil and two tablespoons of rock salt to a bowl, mix well, but be careful not to grind the salt down, apply this mixture with a cotton ball and leave for 10-15 mins, this should leave acne redness severly reduced and leave skin feeling rejuvinated x
Bentonite clay, http://www.bulkherbstore.com/Bentonite-Clay-Powder?s=bentonite is also a great acne remedy. Used as a mask, it draws dirt and bacteria from the skin, reduces, swelling, and leaves skin feeling smooth.

Use the right skin care products. Apply an oil-free moisturizer if your skin is dry or itchy. An astringent is only recommended when you have oily skin and even then the astringent should only be applied to oily spots. If you want to use an exfoliating product, ask your dermatologist about the best treatment for your skin type.
The only thing that’s sort of worked is Spironolactone, an anti-androgen that helps regulate hormones, in conjunction with birth control pills. But popping two pills a day was making me feel like a geriatric, so I stopped taking them and started a new, way simpler regimen: I wash my face with a salicylic acid cleanser — and that’s it. And the acne is back in full force.
