i look horrible i didnt have bad acne in 5th grade buti had one zit every once in a while but when summer came they went away then i started using cover up on one zit and than BAM they all came and never went away. i am going in to 7th grade this year and i have bad acne all over my face and i dont want to start using cover up again but i have used stridex tooth paste no cover up and lime juice with cinnamon nothing works. please help!!!

i am 25 yrs old & have worked in fastfood for the last 7 yrs… which leads to pimples which [@] lol but ive found the best thing in the world!! start with olay daily face wash for combination skin with hazel the st. ives green tea scrub & every night i use olays regenerists thermal mini peel scrub. then i use burts bees acne solutions toner & natural blemish stick followed by clean & clear anti blemish moisturizer. it is the only routine that has worked for me & i love it! it sounds like a lot but like i said, i work in fast food so my skin is oily after a days work 😀

There are so many rumors surrounding diet and acne, it’s hard to know what’s right and what’s wrong. Amongst these rumors is the claim that avocado (eating it and sometimes applying it topically) will make you breakout, because it’s higher in fat. As far as I am concerned, there’s no concrete evidence to prove this, and far more people seem to have success using it than not. It’s so full of good vitamins and nutrients it seems it can really help tone down the acne. If you have sensitive skin, too, it’s quite mild. All I used to do was pop them and the acne scars would eventually fade but I guess that’s not the best, and I’m putting aloe and lemon juice on the scars to hurry up the fading process. I tried Baking Soda with water last night and it was just messy. I’ll be back!

Garlic is thought to be a good natural remedy for acne because of its supposed antibacterial properties. And yes, I’ve tried everything to get rid of it. Oral medication. Proactiv. Even Acutane, the strongest form of acne treatment available, and one that has very risky side effects. Each time I try a new treatment I’m filled with hope. And each time that treatment doesn’t work, I’m crushed.
Dealing with zits on your face is one thing—but back acne (aka bacne) is another level of annoying. At least when you’re wrestling with an angry blemish in your T-zone you can see what you’re doing. Not so when pimples pop up on your back. It’s hard enough just getting soap back there—applying zit cream between your shoulder blades is like a pulled muscle waiting to happen. And it might not work anyway, because the skin on your back doesn’t respond as well to many of the acne treatments you use on your face.

Yesyesyes!! the potato method does work.. i’ve been reading all kinds of tips from readers here and so far,only potato works best and fast.it’s cheap too! as im only a student i cnt posibly afford all those products to try on my skin. so out of curiosity and using my acne covered skin as the guinea pig,i bought those magical potatoes. leave it on overnight and wash it the next morning before i left for school. And what do u know?? Voila!! it kind of dried up my acnes n it looks smaller and not as red as the night before. i’m only on day 4 and i would say it’s 70% clearer now..hahahaha.. i cnt believe i didn’t try the potato earlier. and now imma ask my mom to buy more potatoes on her next grocery shopping trip!! so now i’m looking forward to getting a date with my new found clearer face! Use prescription antibiotics and medication. Certain medications can be prescribed by your dermatologist to help with particularly bad cases of acne, but should be used with caution. As with all medications, there may be unwanted side-effects in a small portion of the population.

The breakouts could have happened because you didn’t moisturize enough after using the baking soda. It’s pretty drying plus exfoliating which = drying, so your skin produces more oil to combat the dryness thus causing more breakouts. When I use baking soda, I make sure to use my regular moisturizer and then coconut oil over it. 🙂
