Using this method (along with removing ALL dairy from my diet, removing almost all processed and packaged foods as well) I noticed that after three days, I had no new pimples forming. I also noticed that my black head started to not look so black. Within two weeks, all the acne on my face was gone, the acne scars were still there, but they looked a little smaller. Now, almost nine months later, I still get the occasional pimple just before my period, but the pimple is a white headed pimple and not the cystic acne I was getting before. I’ve noticed my skin glows, I’m thirty-three and all the fine lines around my eyes have disappeared, and my skin tone is much more even.

Wash your face using oils. Known as the Oil Cleansing Method(OCM), this is a popular method of cleansing in Asia, and is a growing trend. OCM is an alternative cleansing method that is gentler for skin, and of interest for sensitive skin types.
Intensive research is been done in the field of dermatology to comprehend the nature, causes, and treatment for acne. Topical application of certain medications, use of certain home remedies, and changes incorporated into ones lifestyle help to decrease the intensity and subsequent outbreaks of acne. Most people opt for various types of face washes and creams to deal with acne, and there are various products available in the market promise acne-free skin. However, it should be kept in mind that these products do not completely eradicate the acne. Face washes that contain salicylic acid help to drain the sebum from the clogged pores. Topical creams or gels can also be applied to dry or peel off a layer of skin or to restrict sebum formation. Certain antibiotic creams can also be used to reduce the growth of acne causing bacteria. While some of these products can be bought over-the-counter, others may require the prescription of a qualified physician or dermatologist.
I have been using milk of magnesia on my face as a mask most mornings, and it really works! I just bought a big bottle of phillips brand and apply a thin mask that I leave on for about 10-15 minutes. I can see a big difference if I miss a few mornings of not doing it. Thanks for all the other suggestions, these are great. I’ve battled acne since I was a teenager (so roughly half my life) and after years of dermatologists, countless medications and 1 unsuccessful summer of accutane, I finally have clearer skin thanks to the more holistic methods!
I have acne but its not THAT bad. its mainly my forehead and sometimes my chin. I have scaring from my previouse pimples on my forehead and on my chin. I use proactive which has made a difference but not too much of a difference. I NEED to get rid of it because its annoying and ugly and it really brings down your self confidence. I just want to hide my face from the world. If anybody has a TERRIFIC treatment I need it NOW!>-(

Lemons act as an exfoliant, skin lightener, and disinfectant to reduce the appearance of scars and prevent new pimples from forming. On a clean face, dab acne with a cotton ball or cotton swab dipped in lemon juice, then rinse with cool water.
This creative combination has helped many acne sufferers find relief. Mix raw honey with cinnamon to form a paste, then add freshly grated nutmeg. Store the mixture in a closed container and dab on your problem areas as soon as they appear. Leave the mixture on for a few hours for best results.
