I am 29 years old and my breakouts got worse in my early twenties. Thats when I started to use more makeup. I have since then tried every non-natural brand I could get my hands on. But nothing worked. Some of them worked somewhat in the beginning but months later just became worse. But I found that the less products I use the better it gets. Today I use raw unprocessed shea butter for the dry spots, almond oil for the less dry spots. My chin never gets really dry and thats the only area I do get a few breakouts now and then. To combat these breakouts I use breastmilk, and it works amazingly well. I dont know what to use when I stop breastfeeding though 🙂

i had acne for 30 years. i was a very healthy eater i thought. i tried every method possible. finally at the age of 45 i took my son to the dermatologist because of his extreme severe cystic acne at the age of 17. he was desperate and we had tried everything. finally he was prescribed the dangerous drug, accutane. i studied what that drug was, and found it was vitamin A only. my son took it and of course it cleared him up. why?????? vitamin A regulates the oil glands. i then asked my doctor if drinking carrot juice would do it? she then told me YES! she said take a 15 miligram of zinc and 3 glasses of carrot juice a day for a few months. your oil content will slow down and you will have clear skin. it totally worked, on me, and my son, and all of my 6 kids. i found out also to eliminate salt as much as you can. it makes you hold fluid around your cells. NO HOT SAUCE and NO CAFFIENE!!!:-)

hi Mia, I have been having bad acne lately and use a diluted tea tree oil and when they have gone I use rosehip oil for scarring. Do you know what oils best to use with the Rosehip to reduce the scarring quicker? Thanks :)!

🙂 these all work really well but the hot water and cotton balls work the best. you dont have to specific alcohol cotton balls you can just get regular cotton balls and put alcohol on them. using the alcohol will dry your skin out but if u but small dots of lotion on the dry patches and softly rub it in. hope these work for you

like everyone on here i have tried everything…i was getting aggravated so one night i came home from work put toothpaste all over my face left it on for about 10 min then rinsed it off…. then my lil girls doc gave her a perscription for diaper rash its call “ZABB” i put it on slept with it over night got up the next morning an every bump was gone no redness or anything now im using (ceteaphil moisturizer) you can buy it at walmart an its keeping my face clean an clear! you guys should try it! it really works:-D

I am 33 and having cystic inflammed acne on my face, back and chest. I had fibroids, one of the big one now removed but couple of them still existing. My acne is related to hormonal imbalanace as I have facial hair on my chin, which I have to thread every couple of days. My dermatologist said if I’m trying on having a baby, I should not be taking any medication, in the past that helped were birth control pills and spirnolactone ( this caused me bad pain in my kidney area, but helped clear out acne right away). Also, drinking baking soda wth fresh squeezed lemon juice helped clear out my skin, but have it everyday since it can cause low BP and I felt light headed when I take it. My acne becomes active during the monthly cycle. I understand that ACV is acidic, my body is already acidic – would it help?

also, if you sleep on a pillow case that you’ve been sleeping on for 10 days, you probably should chang it. oil from you hair and extra sebum that you have while sleeping can absoube into you cotton pillow case. that’s dirt and oil- zits on the sides of your face, whic is why they stress about sleeping on your back. chage that case regulary, like if you can- either flip sides ior chang/wash that pillow case. once a week if you can.

Thankx 4 ur wonderful suggestions! its all about trying it out and wheather it really works?, i have a suggestion to make, 😉 our face skin needs a good cleaser, toner, face wash and a mosturizer. you need to find these products that are suitable for senitive skin which dont contain anything strong that will irritate your skin ask assistance for help when buying and how to apply on skin!! if you use these 4 things twice a day(morning+night) you will see an improvement in a week. sometimes our skin just needs extra attention by using the right product to cleanse the face.
    You may start to see improvement after about 2 – 4 weeks of using the lifestyle changes and the over-the-counter remedies mentioned above. If you are not noticing a change, you can contact your healthcare provider.
