Due to a recent pregnancy, I have been battling adult acne. I have tried a few different washes and treatments and some of the just did not work at all. I’ve tried so many things. Yes, It gets veryy frustrating. My doctor is putting me on some type of heavy medican on the first. I hope it helps. I have suffered from acne for 3 to 4 years. -oatmeal and PLAIN yogert/honey-yogert and honey-one or the other can be used, mix togther and form a paste, apply to face and let sit for 15 min, it soaks up excess oil and kills bacteria, improvments 5 days, do this 3 times a week
Trust me. I have used toothpaste. and let me tell you IT Stings!!!! My pimple was still there after i used it and there was also a purplish ring around it. Now i recently found out that lemon juice dries out the skin. So I suggest that you put lemon juice ONLY on the pimples and affected areas. If You apply lemon juice to your whole face it will dry out so only use it on the pimples and affected areas. After leaving the lemon juice on your pimples for about 15 mins or a little more wash the lemon juice immediately. DO NOT LEAVE IT ON YOUR FACE FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME!!!!!! Then since lemon juice dries out the skin after you have washed off the lemon juice, put on a lotion moisturizer for the face. Then make sure wash your face no more than twice a day with a soap that clears the face such as Dove Gentle Exfoliating soap. Get Lots of rest and dont ever stress out too much or those pimples will come back. Drink Lots of water and try to avoid dairy products. Most people i think have a dairy product such as ice cream as their favorite food so if you cant resist eating dairy products try to have a better diet. Method: Crush the mint leaves. Extract all the liquid from it. Add water in it. Mix well. Achieve a paste like consistency. Apply the paste on the acne infected area. Leave it on for 15 minutes. I have always heard that your eating habits affect your skin, but then again i have heard that it is a myth. Lately, I have been eating differently, more organic, more veggies and fruit, and less red meat, and fast and junk food. I have actually noticed my SEVERE acne getting alot clearer!!! Hello everyone..I’m 17. I’ve had acne for ages. I’ve been put on birth control…and it seems to help alittle bit, but whenever you take that “week” break form it…my skin breaks out…so I went to my derm…who gave me Retin-A and antibiotics……Retin dries out my skin so bad..it reminds me of a sunburn peeling…and the antis? Ineffective. My skin has now broken out worse than ANYTHING in my WHOLE life..its awful….any solutions…?!
The breakouts could have happened because you didn’t moisturize enough after using the baking soda. It’s pretty drying plus exfoliating which = drying, so your skin produces more oil to combat the dryness thus causing more breakouts. When I use baking soda, I make sure to use my regular moisturizer and then coconut oil over it. 🙂

Whip up a batch of oatmeal as usual, or by following the directions on the box. When it is finished and still hot, add two tablespoons of honey. Let mixture cool to room temperature.
