Change your sheets and pillowcases weekly. Clean sheets and pillowcases are essential for clearing back acne. You may want to change pillowcases twice a week. By the end of a week, sheets and pillowcases are swarming with dead skin cells and bacteria.
🙁 I have Horrible acne on every single spot on my face and scars on every spot that doesn’t have a pimple. I have red bumps, white bumps, deep scars, red scars, brown scars, light scars…everything. Acne appears when a pore in our skin clogs. This clog begins with dead skin cells. Normally, dead skin cells rise to surface of the pore, and the body sheds the cells. When the body starts to make lots of sebum (see-bum), oil that keeps our skin from drying out, the dead skin cells can stick together inside the pore. Instead of rising to the surface, the cells become trapped inside the pore.
What triggers this process isn’t clear. Hormonal changes are associated with the excess production of oil – thus partially accounting for acne flare-ups in teens and pregnant women – and heredity can be a factor, but research has shown that acne is not caused by dirty skin or by eating chocolate, pizza or greasy foods.
You can also use a cinnamon-honey-coconut oil moisturizer. Mix honey, virgin coconut oil, and cinnamon powder until you obtain a thick cream-like consistency. Apply it to your face as a day or night cream or both.

There are also several other ingredients you can use on skin to reduce inflammation, such as chamomile oil and aloe vera. These can especially be beneficial if your skin is irritated due to using products containing salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or both.

Either extract the garlic juice and mix it with 1 teaspoons or so of water, or mash up 2-3 cloves and let sit in water for about 10 minutes. Using a cotton pad, soak up the juice or garlic water and cover problem spots. If you don’t have a cotton pad or something similar to apply it with, the mixture can be a bit runny and hard to work with. In this case, substitute aloe vera gel for water. If you choose to ingest garlic, a clove or two a day should be enough. Prepare it however you like.

The underlying root of acne comes from within the body. The best way to make internal changes is through diet. For inflammatory acne, avoid hot and spicy foods. For oily, greasy skin, avoid fried and fatty foods. Use common sense when it comes to selecting foods that work for you. Aim for variety, with plentiful vegetables, some fruit and lean sources of protein.
