Home remedies have helped my moderate nodular acne. I have found that applying vitamin e oil onto my face at night and immediately washing it off once you wake up (yes, I know that vitamin e is comedogenic) is very helpful. Vitamin E oil moisturizes my skin and leaves it feeling soft, clean, and healthy. Remember to wash your face thoroughly before applying the oil, as well as when you wake up. I put it on at night so that my skin will not feel heavy during the day; it also prevents the excess sebum produced during the day from being trapped in/under the pores. I would not advise using Vitamin E Oil as your sole treatment, but I would instead advise that you add it to your nightly routine. If you have extremely oily skin, then I would not recommend using Vitamin E Oil.

However, since it helps clear my skin up so much, personally, I feel more comfortable using it as opposed to proactiv or prescription medication. I do moisturize with non-comedogenic oils to add moisture back in and use the oil cleansing method. Things like Cetaphil never worked for me, but maybe they work for others.
