Hello everyone, I’ve got nasty oily skin and have had bouts of acne. Things seem to be working and then after awhile they don’t. Some natural remedies to try would be to get ground cloves and make a toner with it by adding a little water then dab on your zits with a q-tip. It makes my achne heal much faster. It tingles too. Also tea tree oil works good for a little while, but then stops working. So, you have to switch up ur products. I switch between benzoil peroxide products and those with tea trea oil. I also drink tea with some burdock root in it. You can get a tea ball difuser and the burdock at a health food store. This helps to keep the achne under control. Also make sure to wash your face twice a day and If you wear a lot of makeup like I do then you should wash off the makeup first and then wash again to get the dirt out of your pores. Be sure to change your pillow case every two days to keep dirt and oil off of your skin while u sleep and wash your hair every day. 🙂

I have been using milk of magnesia on my face as a mask most mornings, and it really works! I just bought a big bottle of phillips brand and apply a thin mask that I leave on for about 10-15 minutes. Conventional Dairy: Even though you are not lactose intolerant, conventional dairy products can be harsh to digest for your system. have a Q…. I tried making my own “Make up w/cornstarch, unsweetened cocoa, and cinnamon. Absorbency was great & coverage ok (still used cover for trbl spots) didn’t have to touch much all day but after about a week tiny pimples break out… Do we think it’s the cornstarch or cinnamon? Was going to try again omitting cinnamon and adding arrowroot powder instead of cornstarch, also adding a little french clay to help cover red areas.. i have used neutrogina TISSUES they have orange dots and you can find them at Walmart. they i continued for about a week or 2 with Neutrogina Cream (they can be found at walmart and they are bright orange) Then i have ordered Proactiv and now i am useing Proactive and ONLY practive and MOST of my pimples have lowered and gone away and i assume that if i continue it will go away. 😀 hey i figured something out one day…i had a pimple comin on…one of those big red bumps that hurts if you touch it…i had clearasil cleansing pad things and i just held it on the affected area….i did this for several minutes and a little bit later the pimple came to the surface! dont know if it will work for you but it helps get rid of them faster

P. acnes also provokes skin inflammation by altering the fatty composition of oily sebum.[44] Oxidation of the lipid squalene by P. acnes is of particular importance. Squalene oxidation activates NF-κB (a protein complex) and consequently increases IL-1α levels.[44] Additionally, squalene oxidation leads to increased activity of the 5-lipoxygenase enzyme responsible for conversion of arachidonic acid to leukotriene B4 (LTB4).[44] LTB4 promotes skin inflammation by acting on the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα) protein.[44] PPARα increases activity of activator protein 1 (AP-1) and NF-κB, thereby leading to the recruitment of inflammatory T cells.[44] The inflammatory properties of P. acnes can be further explained by the bacterium’s ability to convert sebum triglycerides to pro-inflammatory free fatty acids via secretion of the enzyme lipase.[44] These free fatty acids spur production of cathelicidin, HBD1, and HBD2, thus leading to further inflammation.[44]

Like I mentioned in step 1, after I went off of the birth control pill, I began to get really interested in finding natural cures instead of turning to prescriptions.
